Sun Oct 2009
Sea the Stars enters racing folklore despite pulling hard in the early stages, getting into a poor position and being stuck on the inside behind a wall of horses on the turn into the straight, Mick Kinane’s mount was 1st home at Longchamp thus becoming the the only horse ever to have won the 2,000 Guineas, Epsom Derby, and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in the same year.
