  • We reserve the right to refuse payment on any bet or to make void any bet where we are not satisfied with its bona fides. It is your responsibility to ensure that your bets placed correctly and also that your timing, instructions and stakes are correct.
  • We cannot allow for mistakes nor accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in respect of the announcing, publishing or marking of prices, runners or results despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy. We reserve the right to correct obvious errors, and to settle the bet at the correct odds at time of placing bet.
  • Where an error is made when placing a handicap bet on any event, we reserve the right to settle the wager at the correct handicap quoted at the time the bet was placed with the odds that we had quoted at that time.
  • We reserve the right to void any bet that has been placed after “the off” of that event, this will apply even if the off time has been advertised incorrectly, either by Bruce betting or in the press.
  • Bets other than Ante Post bets will be void if the race is abandoned or declared void. If postponed to another day and overnight declarations stand, then bets stand, and if the original overnight declarations do not stand, bets will be void. If, for any reason, races are set back to later in the day, the settling of all bets will be governed by the time advertised in The Racing Post (for example, if you stipulate the 2.00 race and that race is run at 2.30 the bet will stand for the 2.00 as advertised).
  • Place-pots are now accepted on IRISH RACING, and are settled at Tote rules. If there is no Tote dividend returned, they will be settled as a place accumulator on the selections chosen.
  • Once accepted a bet cannot be cancelled or changed unless a pricing error. occurred. The placing of a bet with us, signifies your acceptance of our rules, irrespective of whether or not you have familiarised yourself with them.
  • All bets are deemed to be for races or events taking place on the day of acceptance unless you stipulate otherwise.
  • Special bets are settled in accordance with the special rules issued for such bets.
  • Any bet not substantiated by our tape recording equipment, or written to our web server database will not be recognised by us.

  • We cannot guarantee to pay or correct errors if they are brought to our attention more than six months after the official result of the last selection to run on the bet.
  • Place bets are not accepted unless an equal amount is invested to win. Any place stake inadvertently accepted in a horse race in excess of the win stake will be VOID. There may be some exceptions to this if we offer betting on the selection to be placed, in which case customers may back the horse to be placed at the price quoted

Time of Acceptance

  • Where S.I.S/AMRAC or BRUCE BETTING announces the ‘Off’ of a race or event any bet subsequently accepted for that race or event will be void.
  • Where the official off’ of a race or event is not announced, bets are accepted up to the advertised start time.
  • Any bet which is inadvertently accepted later than this time will be void, win or lose, unless we are satisfied that the bet was accepted before the actual start. In the event of there being a dispute over the time at which a bet was placed, then the time at which it was recorded on the microfilm camera will govern the settlement.
  • Bets on sports events where the event takes place before the advertised time, will be governed by the actual off time of the event.

Settlement of Bets

  • Unless an early price is requested, all bets on horse and grey hound racing are settled at Starting Price returns, with the place part of each way bets settled as per the PLACE TERMS displayed in our Betting Offices or on brucebetting.com. For other events on which bets are accepted, settlement will be based on the odds and place terms advertised and applicable when the bet is taken.
  • For the purposes of calculation, Each Way Doubles, Trebles etc. are settled as two distinct bets i.e. win on to win and place on to place
  • In a horse race where a Starting Price is not returned all bets at Starting Price will be settled as Tote odds. In greyhound races such bets will be void, win or lose.
  • Bets are settled to win unless Each-Way is clearly stated. If you place a bet Each-Way for a race or event, which is ‘Win Only’, the total stake will be invested for a win.
  • In a DEAD HEAT the stake money on a selection is divided by the number of runners involved in the dead heat. The full odds are then paid to the divided stake, with the remainder of the stake money being lost
  • Where a selection is made void or does not run, then in single bets the stake will be returned. In accumulative bets the void selection will be treated as a non runner.
  • Bets are settled on the official result as declared immediately following the event subject to any other provision in our rules. Where a result is amended after the official result is declared, for example as a result of a successful appeal, the amendment will be ignored for settlement purposes.
  • All bets are settled strictly on their merits and no plea of precedence will be accepted We cannot guarantee to pay or correct any returns, if they have not been claimed within six months of the official result.
  • Multiple bets are not accepted where the outcome of one part of the bet contributes to the outcome of another. If taken in error the stakes will be equally divided where they clash. For example, a £10 Double, Henman to win by 3 sets to 1 and to win the match outright is settled as 2 x €5 Singles. However, where the related parts of the bet are resolved at different times the bet will be settled as instructed, with the price for the second or subsequent legs being determined at each individual stage. For example, €10 Double, Henman to win Semi-Final @ 4/6 with Henman to win the tournament outright @ 2/1, is settled as a €10 Double. Henman to win Semi-Final @ 4/6 with the price for Henman to win outright being the price on offer after winning the Semi-Final. In the event of Henman losing either the Semi-Final or Final, the bet is lost.
  • If when placing a multiple bet online, your betslip contains some related selections or markets, then only the unrelated multiples will be placed - this will be reflected in your stake. Returns may only be claimed on valid unrelated bets. If you are in doubt as to which of your selections are related, please contact our Customer Service team for a full explanation. Stakes cannot be refunded on bets placed in error. Special related prices may be available on some events. These will be displayed on our website.

We bet In Running on a selection of live events. Again, whatever happens in, In Running after this point will not affect the fact that your bet has been accepted on the condition that we obtain authorisation for the transaction.

Please note that bets are not accepted in running 3 minutes before a goal due to satellite delay.

Bruce's Racing Rules

Favourite Betting

  • Bets nominating the first and second favourite only are accepted on horse races. Bets nominating the first favourite only in greyhound races are accepted.
  • The favourite is the horse or greyhound, which is returned at the shortest odds, if it is a case that two or more horses have equal shortest odds then your stake is divided equally over the “Joint” or “Co” Favourites created. For example, where two are returned at the shortest odds, then these two are Joint First and Second Favourites and the next shortest price runner is the Third Favourite
  • Stakes will be returned on Single Favourite bets where the return, regardless of the results, is less than the original outlay (including “any deduction prepaid”) for examples, Evs Joint Favourites, 3/1 Co Favourite of four etc.
  • Bets for unnamed Favourites or second Favourites are accepted for Win Only. Each-Way bets are not accepted and if taken in error the place part will be void

Forecast Betting

  • Forecasts are acc'epted in horse and greyhound races of 3 or more runners. In horse races, bets are settled as Straight Forecasts in accordance with the Computerised Starting Price Forecast returns. In races where no Computer Forecast is declared bets will be settled in accordance with the N.S.L. Straight Forecast Chart.
  • Forecast at Tote Returns are not accepted and, if taken in error, will be settled at Computer Forecast Returns. Where a customer nominates a dual forecast in a race for which a straight forecast is declared, the stake will be divided and invested as two half stake straight forecasts
  • In greyhound races all Forecasts are settled as Computer Straight Forecasts (B.A.G.S meeting) or N.S.L. Chart Straight Forecasts (all other greyhound meetings). Unnamed favourites are accepted in Forecast bets.
  • Forecasts inadvertently accepted in RACES WITH ONLY 2 RUNNERS, will be settled as a Win Single on the selection nominated to finish 1st.
  • In races where a horse finished alone, a dividend for the winner with any other runner will be passed by SIS.
  • Should a STARTING PRICE NOT BE RETURNED, then in horse race bets the total stake will be invested as a Dual Forecast at Tote Odds. Greyhound Forecast bets will be void, win or lose.
  • Should a NON RUNNER be selected in a Forecast, the bet will be settled as a Win Single on the remaining selection, In Reversed or Combination bets each Forecast is treated separately. In ‘with the field’ or ‘against the field’ bets if the selection nominated with or against the field is a non runner, the bet will be void, win or lose.
  • We accept Computer Forecast Doubles and Trebles. Unless provided for in our rules for special bets. FORECAST ACCUMULATORS are not accepted. Where such bets are taken in error, the bet or the part of the bet affected will be settled as Forecast Trebles, the stake involved being apportioned accordingly.

  • A tricast is predicting the selection which will finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the correct order; these are accepted in races for which an official Computer Tricast return is declared.
  • A tricast placed or accepted in error for a non-tricast race will be settled as a forecast with the first two selections in the order in which they were chosen.
  • A tricast with a non-runner will be settled as a forecast on the two remaining selections in the order in which they were entered. A combination tricast with more than three selections that contain a non-runner will be settled on the selections that run, with the combinations that contain a non-runner void.
  • A combination tricast placed or accepted in error for a non-tricast race will be settled as combination forecasts with the total stake reapportioned for forecast combinations.
  • Tricast are settled “Rules of Racing” only.

Early Prices and Tattersalls Rule 4c Deduction

  • We accept bets in races of 2 or more runners for named and numbered selections and trap numbers at current ‘Show Prices’ as transmitted to our branches by S.I.S /AMRAC. or BRUCE BETTING and not from any other broadcast source. Where you take a ‘Starting Price’ on a selection, it will apply to that selection in all Win and Each Way bets throughout the slip, unless you indicate otherwise.
  • Each Way bets are governed by our S.P. place betting terms, and determined by the number of actual starters and not by the number of declared runners when the price is laid.
  • EARLY BIRD PRICES are prices complied by Bruce Betting everyday and are offered for horse or greyhound events as advertised on Brucebetting.com or in Bruce Betting Offices and will be available up to 30 minutes prior to the advertised off time of the race. If we inadvertently lay an Early Bird Price after this time it will stand provided no show of betting has been transmitted from the course.
  • All Early Bird prices are subject to fluctuation and therefore the price offered may differ from that originally displayed or published in the sporting press or on Aertel etc.
  • Should a HORSE BE WITHDRAWN not under orders in an Early Bird race, stakes on that selection will be returned, with bets on other runners in the race subject to a deduction in accordance with Tattersalls R4 based on the first advertised price or, where no prices are advertised, at the first internally transmitted Early Bird show.
  • Should a WRONG PRICE be transmitted by S.I.S/AMRAC or BRUCE BETTING or be given in error by a member of our staff, then the bet will be settled at the correct price at the time the bet was struck or, in the case of horse or greyhound bets, at Starting Price, whichever is the greater.
  • Should a GREYHOUND BE WITHDRAWN in an Early Bird race, all bets nominating that selection either by name or trap number will be void, with bets on remaining runners in the race settled at Starting Price. Bets on feature horse race events placed after the overnight declaration stage (usually 10.00am on the day before the race) are not Ante Post an will be settled in accordance with these rules.

This applies to the early price at the time the bet was struck and not on any other price the selection may have been throughout the day. If a bet is settled incorrectly Bruce Betting reserve the right to correct and settle the bet at the correct odds be it the early price attached to the bet or the starting price whichever is the greater.

Late Withdrawals

Where a horse is withdrawn before coming under starter’s orders, or is officially deemed by the starter to have taken no part in the race, stakes will be returned on the withdrawn horse and winning bets will be subject to deductions in accordance with Tattersalls' rule 4(c). See poster displayed in this office for details of tatterstall's R4.

Re-Runs

In the event of a false start etc. Results in a race being re-run, "under orders" is negated and stakes will be refunded on horses taking no part in the re-run, with returns on the remaining runners subject to tattersalls' rule 4c. The number of runners taking part in the re-run governs Place terms.

Walkovers and Void Horse Races

Walkovers AND VOID RACES count as races but any horse so involved will be treated as a non-runner for settling purposes.

Jockey's Mounts, Owners and Yrainers selected and Special Jockey Doubles

These are not accepted on our website.

Ante-Post Bettings (Future Events)

  • Ante-Post prices are those offered on:
    • A Horse Race prior to the final declaration stage.
    • A Greyhound race prior to the day of the race (Unless special conditions are advertised)
    • Sporting events as advertised 4 or more days before the scheduled start of the match or competition.
  • Ante-post bets are accepted on the basis of "all in run or not", i.e./ stakes are lost if the selection does not take part, if there was a possibility of it winning at the time the bet was laid.
  • For Win and place multiple accumulator bets the place part of an each way bet, the fraction odds and number of places relating to each event, are those pertaining on the date of acceptance.
  • Place only bets and forecast bets are not accepted Ante-post, unless advertised otherwise.
  • Bets are executed at the price ruling at the time of acceptance. We reserve the right to correct any obvious errors.
  • Where the same selection is backed to win two or more events in an Ante-post accumulator bet, a special price will apply, irrespective of the individual odds quoted. See section 8, Related Contingencies.
  • All Ante-post selections will be made void if:
    • The race or event is abandoned.
    • The race or event is officially declared void.
    • The conditions or venue of the race or event are altered, after the bet is struck.
    • The race is reopened or additional runners (other than known reserves) are added.
    • A horse is balloted out. In this instance, the liabilities against the horses remaining are reduced at the rate in accordance with Tattersalls Rule 4 depending on the odds currently available on the balloted out selection(s).

Double Result

All bets accepted by us, are settled DOUBLE RESULT i.e. "1st past the post" and "Rules of Racing". This means that if your horse is the first past the post you get paid or if your horse is given the race as a result of a stewards enquiry or objection you will get paid.

If a bet contains a selection who has been disqualified or promoted by the steward’s enquiry then the maximum payout for this bet is €50,000

Double result does not apply to the following bets:

  • Antepost and Tote bets.
  • These are settled on "Rules of Racing Only"
  • Forecasts and Tricasts
  • Horseracing outside the U.K and Ireland are settled on "Rules of Racing" only.
  • Where a race is declared void, all stakes are refunded
  • Where a horse takes the incorrect course, this is a losing bet.
  • If there is an official correction made to the result by S.I.S/AMRAC or the judge prior to the "weigh in" only "Rules of Racing" will apply
  • Any enquires after the "weigh in" or "winner all right" do not count.
  • We reserve the right to delay payment on any race or event where the result is in doubt.

Information and Rules for Horse Racing Abroad

IN COUNTRIES WHERE THERE IS NO STARTING PRICE MARKET IN OPERATION BETS ARE ACCEPTED AT PARI-MUTUEL RETURNS FOR THEFOLLOWING:

  • WIN AND EACH WAY. Horses in the same ownership are general coupled in the “win pool” only. However, in some countries (for example, USA) horses are coupled in all pools and coupling may occur for reasons other than ownership. The place part of each-way bets will be settled in accordance with the returned place dividends.
  • PLACE ONLY. Place only bets are accepted for singles. We do not accept doubles, trebles etc. involving place only and if taken error the total amount staked will be divided equally by the number of selections and settled as singles. In countries where additional place pools operate (for example, USA) place bets or the place part of each-way bets will be settled in accordance with the 1-2-3 show pool, unless the words “place 1-2” are included in the instructions.
  • FORECASTS. Straight or dual forecasts are accepted on the type of forecast in operation, unless special rules are advertised, in which case bets will be settled only at BRUCE BETTING special straight forecasts odds.

Should your instructions be for a straight or reversed forecast and a dual forecast is returned, then your total stake will be invested as a dual forecast. Should the instruction be for a dual forecast and a straight forecast is returned, then the stake will be divided and settled as a reversed straight forecast.

  • SHOW PRICES. When acceptance is specifically advertised, bets are accepted at shoe prices, which are taken from the track, win pool pari-mutuel odds indicator and therefore must be WIN ONLY.

Should an each-way bet be inadvertently accepted, the place pat will be settled at the pari-mutuel place return subject to paragraph (b). Should a horse be withdrawn all bets will be settled at pari-mutual returns unless it is clear that a “new market” has been formed, in which case only bets prior to the new show will be settled at pari-mutuel returns.

  • UNNAMED FAVOURATES. Are not accepted and if taken in error will be void, win or lose.
  • Early prices will be offered for certain feature races abroad. Unless special rules are displayed, these must be requested otherwise bets will be settled at pari-mutuel returns.
  • In countries where bookmakers do operate and an official starting price is returned, bets are accepted in accordance with our general rules and any additional riles applicable to the country concerned, which we will publish.
  • In countries where there is no S.P. or tote betting (for example, DUBAI) bets will only be accepted in races where BRUCE BETTING prices are offered. If no price is taken win and each-way bets will be settled at our closing prices. In the event of any withdrawals tattersalls rule 4 may apply. Non-runner no-bet. All win and each-way bets are subject to a deduction at the normal rats. Forecasts will be settled at BRUCE BETTING special straight forecast odds. Tricasts will not be accepted, any accepted in error will be void.
  • Coupling of horses; when an owner or trainer has two or more horses in a particular race, the horses are coupled for tote/PMU win bets. If an industry price is provided for any of these races then coupling does not apply, if the customer selects the industry price.
  • Guide Prices Only: Often races available from Germany, France, USA, Canada and elsewhere
  • Will scroll “Guide Prices Only” on our screens.
  • These prices are a guide as to the Pari-Mutuel returns on the race and may not be taken. If taken in error, bets will be settled at the Pari-Mutuel return.

Double Engagements

Where a selection is doubly engaged and the client requests a specific race time, it will be considered a bet for that race only. If the selection runs in the other race it will be treated as a non-runner.

Should the client not state a time or states an incorrect time, so long as an 'if absent' request is not stated, the bet will be settled on the first race the selection runs in, on that day.

If two selections, one of which is doubly engaged, are included in an accumulator of multiple bets, but run in the same race, then the selection which is doubly engaged will be automatically timed for the race in which the entries do not clash.

Conditional Bets

We do not accept conditional bets via the internet.

Bruce's Golf Rules

Outright Betting: Non-Starter - No bet. Rule 4 may apply. If a player tees off, then that player will count as a runner. If that player subsequently retires he will be settled as a loser. Play offs will determine win bets. Each Way bets - dead heat rules may apply.

Should a tournament be affected by adverse weather or shortened for any reason the official result will govern settlement irrespective of the number of rounds completed. In the event of a player withdrawing after having teed off, stakes will be lost on outright group and match betting. However 2 or 3 ball bets will be void.

If a bet is struck and there is no further play, or further play does not count for the official result, those bets will be made void.

Tournament Match Bets: A price will be offered for the tie and in the event of a tie, bets on either player to win will be lost. Play Offs will count for settlement purposes, should one player win the event. If one player misses the cut, the other is deemed the winner. If both players miss the cut, then the one with the lowest score will be deemed the winner. If a player is disqualified, either prior to the completion of two rounds or after both players have made the cut, the other player is deemed the winner. If a player is disqualified after making the cut, when his opponent has already missed the cut, the disqualified player is deemed the winner.

Top Nationality: Non-Player - No Bet. Rule 4 deduction may apply. Play Offs will determine win bets, dead heat rules will apply for win and place bets.

Tournament Group Bets: Non Player- no bet. Rule 4 may apply. Play offs do apply. Dead heat rules will apply. Bets are settled on the player who achieves the highest placing at the end of the tournament.

In the event of the actual 2 ball, 3 ball, or group being different from those advertised by us, bets will stand on the finishing positions of our original pairings.

18 hole, 3 ball betting: If a player does not start the round, then the 3 ball will be void. Dead-heat rules will apply. Once all players have started the round they are deemed runners.

18 hole, 2 ball betting: A price will be offered for the tie. Once both players have started the round they are deemed runners. If a player withdraws during the round his/her opponent will be deemed the winner as long as they complete the round in full.

Bruce's Football Rules

Settlement of Bets

Unless otherwise stated, all markets on football matches will be for 90 Minutes scheduled play, including any added injury or stoppage time. In the event of a match being abandoned before the final whistle, only bets that can be settled at the time of abandonment will stand. All other bets will be deemed void.

Match Prices: Singles and upwards are accepted on all matches. Trebles and upwards will be accepted on selected leagues.

Where outright prices are offered for a match, it will signify the price for a team to progress to the next round of the competition or to lift the trophy and will include any extra time and penalty shoot outs. Where both match prices and outright prices are offered on a match, it will be assumed that bets will be for match prices, unless to win outright or a qualifying price are specifically asked for.

Bets will be accepted up to 'actual kick off time, if a bet is inadvertently accepted which includes a match after its kick off time, the match will be treated as a non-runner. However, such bets will stand if accepted up to 5 minutes after kick off time, provided that no goals had been scored at the time the bet was placed.

Goal Scorer Markets

Goalscorer Disputes: In the event of a dispute over who scored a goal, settlement will be based on the result given by the Press Association immediately following the end of the match. Subsequent enquiries will not be considered for settlement purposes. If the P.A. do not produce statistics for a match played outside the UK, the result will be taken from the consensus of the national newspapers of the relevant country as printed the following day.

First/Last Goalscorer: A price will be offered for "No Goalscorer" in the match. Own goals do not count and in the event of the first goal being an own goal, the next goalscorer will be deemed the first goalscorer. Players taking no part in the match will be void. For first goalscorer, players taking no part in the match before the first goal is scored will be void. Every effort is made to quote all players for a team; however, if the first/last goal is scored by a player not quoted in the original list, that player will still count as the winner. For last goalscorer bets, any player taking part in the match will be deemed a runner whether on the pitch at the time of the last goal or not.

Anytime Goalscorer: This bet involves predicting whether a particular player or specified team will score a goal at anytime during a match. Bets will stand until the final whistle and not include any Extra Time played. Iffor any reason a match is abandoned before the final whistle, stakes will be refunded irrespective of whether the nominated player has scored or not. Own goals do not count. Multiple bets involving anytime scorers in the same match are accepted. For any time scorer bets, any player taking part in the match will be deemed a runner.

Scorecast: This bet involves predicting who will score the first goal and what the score will be in a double. Given that the two components of this double are related, the scorecast is offered at specified, discounted odds. In the event of the nominated scorer not having entered the field of play prior to the first goal being scored, the stake is automatically placed as a single on the correct score.

Own goals do not count and in the event of the first/last goal being an own goal then the scorecast will be settled on the correct score coupled with the next goalscorer. If there is only an own goal in the match, then the bet will be settled as a single on the correct score.

Where no teams are stated for correct score bets, then the left hand score will be deemed to be for the home team and the right hand score for the away team. For scorecast bets, this convention will stand even if the first goal scorer is for the away team.

Correct Score: We will list as many correct score possibilities as we deem necessary. If the final correct score was not quoted in the original list, then the correct score will still count as the winner.

Speciality Markets (Where offered)

Corners: A corners bet involves predicting whether the match will produce under, exactly or over the stipulated number of corners. Only corners taken will count, corners that have been awarded but not taken will not count.First Corner: A first corner bet involves predicting which team will take the 1st Corner of the match. If no corners are taken in the match, all bets will be deemed void.

Bookings: This bet involves predicting whether the total booking points in the match are under, between or over a stipulated middle band. Points are allocated as follows: 10 points are awarded for a yellow card; 25 points are awarded for a red card. The maximum make-up for any player is 35 points in the match (2 yellows and therefore a red). The bookings of players not taking part in the game and bookings of management staff do not count for the purposes of this bet.

Next Card Betting: Prices may be offered on the team to receive the next card, (either yellow or red). In the event that players from both teams are booked for the same incident, the team whose player is first shown the card by the referee will be deemed the winner.

Time Definition: When referring to 45 minutes we refer to "half time". When we refer to 90 minutes we refer to "Full Time". This includes any added injury or stoppage time played but not extra time.

Match Handicap: A specified number of goals is given as a handicap to one of the teams. This number is added to the number of goals that the team has scored at the end of the match. This bet involves predicting which team will win the match after the handicap has been added to the final result.

Total Goals: This bet involves predicting whether a specified group of matches produces under, between or over a stipulated middle band of goals. If any match is postponed or abandoned, then 2.5 goals are awarded for that match. If more than one third of the matches in the group are postponed or abandoned then all bets will be deemed void.

Team to Win Both Halves: To win this bet the nominated team must score more goals than the opposing team in both halves of the match.

How Will The Match Be Won: If the match has the prospect of extra time, golden or silver goal and a penalty shoot-out, this bet may be offered. It involves predicting which team will win and whether that team will win in normal time, extra time golden or silver goals or on penalties.

Penalty Shoot-outs: Bets taken on the number of penalties refer to all the penalties taken. If ten penalties are not required to complete the match, bets will stand. If more than ten are taken all penalties count for settling purposes.

"In Running" Betting: A number of markets are available during "Live", televised matches. Prices fluctuate quickly and the prices displayed on the internet are a guide and may well be different at the time of placing a bet. At crucial moments, e.g. a penalty being awarded or a sending off, prices may be temporarily suspended. Various second half speciality markets are available at half time, which relate to the second half of the match only.

Team to score next Goal: Own goals count and the winner will be the team accredited with the goal.

Asian Handicaps (Where offered)

An Asian handicap is a market where a handicap is applied to the match in order to make the prices more equal. The handicap line varies from Scratch, (0, also called Level Ball) up to any number of goals in order to balance the odds and give each of the two team’s relatively similar price. The handicap line increases from Scratch in 'Quarter Goals' or 'Quarter Balls', expressed as + or - 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2 etc. to reflect the expected superiority of one team over the other.

The favourite in a match will have a negative handicap represented with a (-) symbol and will have to win by more goals than the handicap in order to be a winner. The outsider in the match will receive a positive handicap represented with a (+) symbol, which will be added to the final score.

Whole ball and half ball handicaps: The handicap is applied to the final result of the match and the team with the most goals after the handicap has been applied will be the winner. If the number of goals for each team are level after the handicap has been applied, it will result in a push with the stake being returned.

Split Ball Handicaps: A split ball handicap is where the level of favouritism is between a half ball and a whole ball. The handicap is presented as 0 : 1/4. In this instance, your stake is being split equally between the whole ball and half ball handicaps.

For example:

NEWCASTLE 0 : 1/4 LIVERPOOL

If you place a £100 bet on LIVERPOOL + 1/4 you actually have two bets split as follows, £50 LIVERPOOL + 0 goal and £50 LIVERPOOL + 1/2 goal. If the match finishes as a 0-0 draw, then after applying the handicap the scores would be as follows; LIVERPOOL plus zero would result in NEWCASTLE 0 - 0 LIVERPOOL - your £50 part of the bet on LIVERPOOL minus plus zero would be a push and the stake returned to you. LIVERPOOL plus a half a goal would result in NEWCASTLE 0 - 0.5 LIVERPOOL - your £50 part of the bet on LIVERPOOL plus a half goal would be a winner. Divisional and Long Term Bets

Divisional Betting: The finishing position of teams at the end of the scheduled season will determine placings, this includes point’s deductions the league may apply before the end of the season. End of season play-offs and penalties incurred by clubs after the end of the season will not count.
